Day 1: Wed Oct 11 Depart Canada  
Take transpacific flight to Shanghai

Day 2: Thu Oct 12 Arrive Shanghai
Upon arrival you will meet our professional English-speaking tour guide and transfer to the hotel by a private air conditioned tour bus.

Day 3: Fri Oct 13 Shanghai (BLD)
Today's sightseeing includes visiting the Town-God Temple bazaar,and The Bund — a waterfront promenade famous for its landmark neoclassical buildings of European style.

Day 4: Sat Oct 14 Shanghai (B)
Today is your free time in Shanghai, and our recommended attractions are maglev train, Pudong new district and Huangpu river cruise.

Day 5 Sunday Oct 15 Shanghai to Yichang (BL)  
This morning we visit Shanghai Museum, afternoon Nanjing Road. Take an afternoon flight to Yichang. Upon arrival, our tour guide will pick you up at airport and embark the cruise ship. With total length of 6,380km, the Yangtze is the longest river in China and the third longest in the world after the Nile and the Amazon. The most impressive section of the Yangtze is the Three Gorges. 

Day 6 Monday Oct 16 Ms Yangtze #2 River Cruise (BLD)

The ship enters the eastern section of Xiling Gorge (66km) in the morning. We tour the site of the Three Gorges Dam — the largest hydroelectric dam in the world with a reservoir stretching hundreds of kilometres upstream. Construction of the dam began in 1992 and was completed in 2009. In the afternoon we pass 5-tier ship lock. 

Day 7 Tuesday Oct 17 Ms Yangtze #2 River Cruise (BLD)
Admire nature’s grandeur while sailing through spectacular Wu Gorge (44km) and Qutang Gorge (8km) today. In late morning we navigate Shennong Stream on a small vessel. Originating in the southern slopes of Shennongxi Nature Reserve, the crystal clear river twists and turns 60km through forested mountains before emptying into the mighty Yangtze.

Day 8 Wednesday Oct 18 Ms Yangtze #2 River Cruise (BLD)

Today's shore excursion features Shibaozhai (Stone Treasure Fortress), an ancient wooden pagoda built against rock cliffs facing the Yangtze.

Day 9 Thu Oct 19 Chongqing to Xi’an (BL)  
Disembark cruise ship in the morning and visit Chongqing zoo. After lunch visit old street in Chongqing. We take an afternoon flight to Xi’an – an ancient Chinese capital city for 13 dynasties and the home of the incredible Terracotta Army. Transfer to hotel upon arrival.

Day 10: Fri Oct 20 Xi'an (BL)

Today, we drive 30km east of the city to visit the excavation site of the Terracotta Army, and the terracotta warrior workshop. Optional dumpling banquet dinner and tang dynasty dancing show in Xi’an CAD $70 p/p.

Day 11: Sat Oct 21 Xi’an-Beijing (BLD) MU2103 9:00 to 10:50
This morning we will fly to Beijing, after lunch we visit the Summer Palace, a royal resort during the Qing Dynasty. We will have a dragon boat cruise on Kunming Lake. Our next stop is a visit to a pearl exhibition back to hotel and relax afterwards.

Day 12: Sun Oct 22 Beijing (BLD)
Today In the morning we visit the Temple of Heaven and join local residents in practicing Tai Chi and morning exercises in the park. Then we visit the Tiananmen Square—the largest public city square in the world. From there you enter The Forbidden City to observe the 250-acre complex of palaces, pavilions, courtyards and gardens. A Peking duck dinner is prearranged to conclude your first day of sightseeing.

Day 13 Mon Oct 23 Beijing (B)
We drive 70km northwest from the city of Beijing for a full-day excursion to the Great Wall — the world's longest man-made structure, stretching over 6,352 km (3,948 miles) from Shanhai Pass in the east to Lop Nur in the west — along an arc that roughly delineates the southern edge of Inner Mongolia. On the way back we will visit a Jade and cloisonné exhibition to see Chinese traditional art.

Day 14: Tue Oct 24 Beijing-Stop-Home (B)  
Bid farewell as we transfer to the airport for a return flight home.
